This vocal was a live take meant to be a scratch for the band to follow along with. Producer Jesse Siebenberg liked it's laid back performance and so he kept it as the final take. For that reason the last pre-chorus ended up being:

"And it's lime lines and pickup lines
Casting calls but just at night
Casting calls all through the day
On the hunt again"

Instead of how it was written:
